How To use Android Tablet screen as a Secondary Monitor for your PC/Laptop.

Hello Geeks, Welcome back to Techyknights . Have you Ever tried using your Android tablet as secondary monitor for your PC or laptop?If not in this tutorial i am gonna show you how to use your Android tablet screen as secondary monitor for your PC.So let's see how it is done.

Steps:

Requirements:

  • Android version above 3.
  • PC or laptop
1. Go to Play store and install iDisplay app from it.This software is not free on play store.But if you want to start a trail for seven days download the idisplay APK file.
2. Now on your desktop, go to Getidisplay site and click on the Windows download button and select your Windows operating system to download the software
3. Install the drivers and software and restart your computer when prompted. At the time of installation you will prompted to give access to the PC's firewall,as it needs internet connection to connect them.
Use Droid cam as webcam for skype.
4. Now go to the icons at the right bottom and find the idisplay icon in it.Now move the mouse over the idisplay icon and you will see the port number and IP address.
Grab the IP address and Port number and enter them in the idisplay app on android.
5. Go to your Android tablet and open Idisplay app. Tap the “+” button in it and enter the IP address and port number.When you connect from your tablet, a dialog box will come up on your PC asking whether to give permission for the connection or not.Give access to the app.
6. After giving access to the software, blank color window will appear on the Android device.Locate the mouse pointer and move it between screens with the PC’s mouse. If you want to move from mobile to PC just swipe on the screen.
